Converter service

Privacy & Data Handling

Draft policy — review and approve before public launch. This policy describes the behavior of the included converter application. It does not replace the legal privacy notice of Edutech Publishing.

Information collected

Verified email address, the date of verification, the number of conversion and quotation requests, optional marketing consent, and service activity. For manual quotations, we also collect your name, submitted PDF, requested deadline and project instructions.

Why we process it

To validate email ownership, deliver converted files, prepare and follow up on manual conversion quotations, protect the service from abuse, and manage conversion operations. Optional promotional contact is only permitted when you explicitly select the marketing consent checkbox.

Document storage

Free automatic PDF submissions are processed in memory or temporary working directories, without intentional persistent storage. Manual conversion PDFs are saved in a private server directory for the purpose of preparing a quote and are purged after seven days by default. Backups, logs, and hosting-provider storage may be subject to separate retention. Verified email lead records remain until removed by the site administrator following a valid request or retention review.

Email verification and delivery

One-time verification codes expire after 10 minutes. Verified sessions expire after 30 minutes and have limited uses. Document delivery by email is optional and only sent to the verified address.

Marketing and your choice

Marketing contact is separate from service delivery. You can decline promotional contact and still use the service. Contact info@edutech-publishing.com to request an update or deletion of your information or to withdraw consent.

Security

The service uses server-side verification, request throttling and administrator-only access to records. Public launch additionally requires HTTPS, properly secured hosting, SMTP credentials, and operational malware/file security reviews.
